People started using simple metal wire mesh baskets as solutions to problems of erosion protection in river works and earth retaining structures in the late 19th Century. In the 20th Century, with steel wire coating and manufacturing techniques having greater development, more and more metal gabion baskets were used in earth protection and earth retaining structures around the world.
Types of coating for Nova metal gabion baskets:
The following categories apply to double-twisted metal gabion baskets depending on the coating:
a- Type 1, Double-twisted wire mesh, fasteners, lacing wire, and stiffeners are fabricated from galvanized steel wire.
b- Type 2, Double-twisted wire mesh, fasteners, lacing wire, and stiffeners are all made from wire coated with Zn-5A1-MM/Zn-10A1-MM before being double-twisted to mesh.
c- Type 3, Double-twisted mesh, lacing wire, and stiffeners as type 1 and overcoated with PVC coating.
d- Type 4, Double-twisted mesh, lacing wire, and stiffeners as type 2 and overcoated with PVC coating.

Packing of Nova Metal Gabion Baskets
The metal gabion basket is folded flat and packed in bundles for ease of transportation to the site. The size of bundle is about 2*1*1m, and the weight of each bundle is in the range of 0.5 tons to 1.2 tons.

The standard loading capacity of gabion baskets is 27 tons for a 40 ft container, and 18 tons for a 20ft container.

A: Our capability can produce 4000 square meters per day per machine, it needs 4-5 days to produce one 40 ft container.
Q: What is your standard payment term?
A: Our payment term is flexible, our standard term is a 30% deposit, the balance paid before shipment or against copy of BOL, and other terms of payment are discussable, like 30% TT+70%LC.
Q: How many machines do you have?
A: Nova China factory has 18 sets of gabion weaving machines with different hole sizes in our factory, which can produce most of the holes customer need.
